Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what data is processed when you use the MiMolio app and this website. Because MiMolio is designed for preschool-age children, the app was deliberately built so that practically no personal data is ever collected.
1. Data controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) is:
Bernd Philipp Kolberg
Weinbergstraße 14
12555 Berlin
Germany
Email: support@mimolio.com
2. Core principle: no data collection
MiMolio completely does without:
- Registration or user accounts
- Advertising and ad networks
- Tracking of any kind
- Analytics or statistics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
- Cloud synchronization of game progress
- Transmission of personal data to us or to third parties
The app contains no networking code and no third-party software development kits (SDKs). MiMolio works entirely offline.
3. Game progress and local storage
MiMolio stores your game progress (e.g. completed levels) exclusively on your own device, using Apple's UserDefaults interface. This data
- never leaves your device,
- is never transmitted to us, to Apple, or to any other third party,
- contains no personal information (only level and category identifiers),
- is deleted as soon as you uninstall the app or reset its data in the iOS system settings.
4. System permissions
MiMolio does not request any system permissions — no camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts, or advertising identifier. The app does not need access to any such data to function.
5. Note for parents and children
MiMolio is aimed at children aged 2–6. Because the app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, no additional privacy risks arise from use by children. Parents retain full control, since all data stays exclusively on the respective device.
6. This website
This website exists solely to provide information about the MiMolio app. It uses no cookies, no tracking, and no embedded third-party content. When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) automatically processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, time of access, requested file), as is standard for any web server for technical reasons and to protect against attacks. This log data is not combined with other data sources and is not used to analyze your usage behavior.
7. Disclosure to third parties
No data is disclosed to third parties. Because MiMolio does not collect personal data, no sale or other disclosure of usage data is possible either.
8. Your rights
Because MiMolio does not store or process any personal data about you or your child, there is in practice no data held by us to which a right of access, correction, or deletion could apply. If you nevertheless have questions about privacy, or suspect that personal data is being processed, you can contact us at any time at the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
Should MiMolio's feature set change (for example through new features that require data processing), we will update this privacy policy accordingly and publish the revised version here.
